Maria Gerber
Architect at Hebeisen + Vatter Architekten
Maria graduated from master’s studies in architecture in 2010, at the Technical University in Wroclaw, Poland. Her diploma project won the first price in the “Concrete Architecture Competition 2010”. In 2011 she finished master’s in industrial design at Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, where, afterwards, she worked as a designer.
In 2012 Maria moved to Bern to complete a one-year apprenticeship at the architectural firm “Ernst Gerber Architekten + Planer AG”. During the apprenticeship she won two architectural competitions. In 2013 she started to work as architect in “Hebeisen-Vatter Architekten AG” in Bern, where she was involved in all steps required to complete architectural projects. Her current work at the company is to lead a construction site. Meanwhile, she has done post-graduate studies – CAS Projektmanagment Bau at the Luzerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
After global ecological protests, Maria has realized that designing green architecture would be her contribution to save our planet. She is now focusing on finding the best solutions to design buildings integrated with nature.
